 GAMES PROMOTION OFFICER 


Commercials are fortunate to have the services of an excellent Games Promotion Officer Peter Elliot.

 

His role is to support all mentors within the club.  He runs the Academy every Tuesday evening and also organises Courses and Workshops within the club.  

He also promotes and develops Hurling and Camogie within the local primary schools.  He is very much involved in assisting the teachers every week and would also train school teams during the year.  

Scoil Chrónáin, Holy Family and  St. Finians, under the watchful eye of Peter, have all reached finals of Cumann na mbunscol in Croke Park for the last number of years.

COMMERCIALS RECEIVED JUVENILE HURLING CLUB OF THE YEAR 2016

A great night was had by all at the 10th Annual Friends of Dublin Hurling Celebration Night at the Red Cow Hotel on Friday 25th November.

The Mayor of Dublin, Brendan Carr, was the main guest and he presented the Lar Foley Hall of Fame Award to Damien Byrne.

The winners for 2016 were presented with their awards by members of the Fodh committee.

We were delighted to be there in the Red Cow picking up an award for Juvenile Hurling club of the year.  Well done to everyone in Commercials.  It was a great honour to receive this award recognising all the hard work going on behind the scenes in the club.

The winners were:

Young Hurler of the Year - Eoghan O’Donnell

Adult Hurler of the Year - Eamon Dillon

Camogie Player of the Year - Síle Nic Coitir

Adult Hurling Club of the Year - Clontarf

Post Primary School of the Year - Terenure College

Primary School of the Year – Gaelscoil Bhaile Bhrigín.
